It is our intent to help persons with disabilities understand that they are their own safety net; with the ability, capability, and potential to sustain themselves and their families through their own talents. Beyond a mere understanding, we take a hands-on approach to helping participants become financially independent. Furthermore, we work to help them do their own problem solving so that as they meet additional life challenges, they will not be solely dependent on governmental systems to help them live. They will be able to rely on their own minds and spirits to face and meet life challenged head on. Finally, IPMH is forever a supporter of program participants. We are here for them if they have setbacks and to celebrate success. We actively involve former participants in the management of the organization through the Board of Directors, as volunteers, and in paid staff positions.
