The
Institute for Positive Mental Health is a non-profit volunteer organization
dedicated to the prevention of mental illness and to the vocational
and social rehabilitation of adults with a history of mental illness.
IPMH focuses on the development and utilization of programs that
promote and maintain positive social action, services and education
to the community, thereby reducing the negative connotations associated
with mental illness. IPMH aggressively sponsors rehabilitation services
that will enable and empower individuals to return to economic independence
through gainful employment and reintegration into the community.
The
mission of the Institute for Positive Mental Health is implemented
through the following program areas:
(1)
Employment Services - enable and empower individuals to achieve
to economic independence and self sufficiency.
(2)
Education - teach adults the skills necessary to become skillful
learners, directors, and managers of their life.
(3)
Community Services - introduce positive community experiences through
field trips, workshops, lectures, free programs, and cultural enrichment;
foster a love of books and the habit of reading for pleasure while
developing a wider range of resources for learning.
(4)
Life Coaching - help bridge the gap between being, doing, and having.
